Yess it’s cheat day

 

Today I’ll let you lose from your daily routine because cheat day is like a reward giving day. Since we are working at a desk & maintaining our health & diet, we deserve one day to just go where our mind tells, eat whatever our tongue desires & relax the way we want.

 

Because cheat day is also important, this is why;

 

  1. Mental Break: Having a cheat day lets your mind rest from always having to monitor what you eat and exercise. This break can help you feel less stressed and more determined when you return to your normal routine.
  1. Metabolic Boost: Having a cheat day can help speed up your metabolism. So that your body can burn the extra calories, it speeds up its metabolism. This can keep your metabolism from slowing down when you are low on calories for a long time.
  1. Enjoyment and order: A cheat day lets you eat your favorite foods and feel like your life is in order. It keeps you from feeling starved, which can make you eat too much. To be successful in the long run, you need to eat a variety of foods in balance.
  1. Help build social life: Cheat days often happen during social events or get-togethers. You can fully enjoy these events without thinking about your diet if you give yourself a cheat day. This keeps your social life healthy and keeps you from feeling alone.
  1. Reset & Refresh: Taking a cheat day can help your mind and body get back to normal. By making you change your normal habits, it can help you get past obstacles in your dietary and fitness plan. This restart might help you stick to your long-term goals.

 

But but but, let’s not get ahead of ourselves cheat day is important but control is also needed.

 

Yes CONTROL..You are probably wondering first I talked about cheat day & let loose; the second I am talking about control. What kind of cheat day is it?

 

You are not wrong but I am also right, confused? Let me tell you about my cheat day, how I enjoy 2 cheat days in a week yet I maintain a proper healthy lifestyle.

 

Think about it like this, if you have to give a big presentation in front of your C level executives by the end of the month and you prepared all the data & presentation weeks before do you need to panic or run around when the deadline comes, NO.

 

You see when the presentation day comes you’ll be relaxed & confident because you are prepared

 

I plan my cheat day exactly like this, on my cheat day I basically fast till the evening.

 

I generally fast on monday & thursday; during these days I do not workout & when I break the fast I eat whatever I want but that doesn’t actually do much harm to my body

 

This is how fasting helps

 

  1. Controlled Caloric Intake: Fasting can help you eat fewer calories over the course of a week. The total number of calories you eat stays the same, even if you treat yourself on cheat day. This keeps you from gaining weight and helps you stick to your exercise goals.

  1. Better Mental Clarity: Fasting can help you think more clearly and concentrate. There are more hormones in your body when you fast, causing you feel more focused and alert. Even if it’s a cheat day, this may assist you stay focused and get work done.

What food makes you break fasting?

 

Usually, foods that are loaded with sugar and processed carbs can make you want to break your fast. Figure out which foods make you crave them and then find healthy options that are not going to make you crave them.

 

When do you feel most hungry?

 

A lot of people are hungriest in the middle of the morning or late in the afternoon. To better handle hunger, plan your meals and snacks around these times. Having small, healthy snacks can help you avoid eating too much later.

 

How often do you get cravings?

 

Craves often arise when you’re tired, worried, or bored. Keep nutritious snacks like yogurt, nuts, and fruits on hand to satisfy your needs without going off track with your diet. Getting enough water can also make urges less strong.

 

If you find a solution for these problems you’ll find fasting easy. Even if you cannot fast for long then I suggest you plan your cheat day a bit differently

 

If you are a desk job holder I suggest you to have sugary food in lunch & consume carbohydrate rich foods during the day

 

And I suggest you to walk a little more in your cheat day & do a bit more physical exercises

 

Cheat day should be fun but you should not get carried away in this fun process

 

See if you break the problem it’s very easy to solve

 

But I’d suggest you to start slow, very slow

 

Otherwise you’ll fall before you rise, don’t stress, don’t rush take it slow
